Inspiration

Hundreds of women and even a few men gathered in West Palm Beach for the Women’s Prosperity Network “Prosperity Un-Conference” on September 16th, 17th, and 18th, 2011.  We sat sister-to-sister and hung on to every word uttered by Nancy Matthews, Trish Carr, Ava Diamond, Craig Duswalt and Simon T. Bailey.  The Keynote Speaker was the one and only Jack Canfield, the author of Chicken Soup for the Soul, The Success Principles and many other best selling books.  This conference was head and shoulders above any other conference I have ever attended.   I could feel the positive energy emanating from the room even when the only sound you heard was coming from the speaker at the moment.   Talk about being “jazzed”…everyone was!

As I sat there absorbing all of the out of the box, cutting-edge information, I could sense that many women were already mentally putting their future plans into action.  They were deciding that very moment what they were going to do, to take their business to the next level.  I can definitely say that I experienced several of my own “Ah Ha” moments.

What really set this Un-Conference apart from all the others was the final day, which was an added benefit or perk for the V.I.P. ticket-holders.  We had no idea what to expect, but after experiencing the past two days, I was confident…it would be over the top and I was not disappointed!!!  For six hours we were in groups of eight.   Every group had the expertise of one of the “Breakout Speakers/Coaches” from the past two days to help us define and execute our game plan.    We were instructed to write down our two BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goals).  Some knew exactly what their goals were and for others it took a little help from the coaches.

I knew exactly what my BIG HAIRY AUDACIOUS GOAL was…To expand WPN to women around the country.  Of course, we were instructed that our goal had a one year target date, so to make mine more specific I wrote:   I will expand WPN strategically in communities throughout Florida.

Now understand this was pretty “big and audacious”, because I had not even told the WPN Founders that this was my goal.  But when you write down a goal that resonates with you and it just feels right, the action steps begin to flow.  As Duane Dale Cummings told us many times over the weekend; start with the end in mind…you will always find a way to make it happen.

I must admit that before attending the Prosperity Un-Conference…WPN to me was all about the Founder’s (Nancy Matthews, Trish Carr, and Susan Weiner) vision and their presence in the room, but today their vision has expanded even beyond their presence.   Now I realize that what they have given us must be shared with women around the world…and for me, it started in my own community.   Today I know that what we’ve done in Brevard can be duplicated all over the world.  I just want to shout WPN from every roof top!!!

To top off this fantastic life changing event…I was nominated and recognized for the “Game Changer Award of Leadership”.  I was both touched and honored to receive this, but it was only possible because of the amazing women in our WPN Brevard Chapter.  These heart-centered  women always step up to the plate, volunteer their services, and play full out…they are truly extraordinary!   I know they feel as I do, “When you make it to the top, reach down and extend a hand to someone else.”

I’m extremely excited and anxious to get started on my BHAG.  I’m prepared and ready to implement the strategies that I took away from the conference.  I know that anything and everything is possible…because I’m a GAME CHANGER!!!

“We Not Have It All Together, But Together We Have it All”

Arbonne’s “Global Training Conference” was held this year in January at the MGM Hotel in Las Vegas and the theme was “Better Together”. It’s my favorite event of the year, because it’s our time to be recognized, inspired, motivated and trained. Our keynote speaker was Dr. Bertice Berry…she was truly AMAZING and at the Grand Awards Celebration we were entertained by Kevin Costner & his band “Modern West”….and I’m just sayin’…Kevin Costner is a “HOTTY”!!!

This is where my BELIEF in the Company, the Products and the People came to life!   You really experience the true culture and spirit of Arbonne.

If you’re considering a network marketing or direct selling business, GTC is the place to be.  You will meet the top leaders in the company and hear their personal stories…such diverse backgrounds and experience…Arbonne has attracted Physicians, CPA’s, Actors, Attorney’s…even Rocket Scientists!  If you don’t feel the heartbeat of Arbonne here, it’s probably not a fit for you.

I left GTC with even more determination and conviction to stay focused and committed on my business. I have a “gift” to share that not only can change the way you look and feel, but can change your life, too!

Network Marketing is a simple concept, but it’s not easy.  I started my Arbonne business almost two years ago and I will admit I’ve had my own challenges.  Mainly because my “WHY” wasn’t as strong as my “WHY NOT”.  It’s taken me time to define, but once I realized my “WHY” was not about me…I was empowered to move forward.  There is a system for me to duplicate and Team Leaders to train and coach me to the top.  I’m in business for myself, but not by myself…what a concept!

As women we’re “Better Together”…it’s just natural for us to network and build relationships…it’s really what we do best.  Network marketing is the best platform to create your own independence and to build wealth.  Did you know this industry has created more women millionaires than any other?

I never thought I would be so passionate about building a business.

After selling real estate for 28 years and with all the short sales and foreclosures…I was ready for a change…it just wasn’t fun anymore!  I was introduced to a network marketing company and at first thought, no way, been there, done that!!!   But needless to say, after using the anti-aging products (and loving them), researching the company and reviewing the compensation plan…I jumped ALL in!

For the past year and a half, I’ve been building my business; I have met the most inspiring women who are making a difference.  I have been coached, trained, supported and cheered on by so many incredible leaders I would have never met, if it weren’t for Arbonne.

I have earned trips, jewelry and been recognized for what I’ve accomplished:  Cancun for 5 days in a beautiful oceanfront resort, a long weekend in Scottsdale, Arizona at the Camelback Inn, a trip to Irvine, CA for a tour of our Headquarters, and Las Vegas for our National Training Convention…and now I’m working towards an incentive trip to the Atlantis Resort in Paradise Island.

I’m developing amazing friendships, enjoying travel and bling-bling, and building a business that I can will to my loved ones…I’m using Swiss formulated products that are botanically based with no chemical fragrances, parabens, or mineral oil; and most of all I’m having so much fun and getting paid for it!

I don’t know if Arbonne is a fit for you, because it’s definitely not for everyone.  I’m building a team of like minded women who are on top of their game and WANT IT ALL!  If that’s you, let’s chat!

We have a proven system!  This business is not easy, but it offers very little risk with phenomenal rewards.  You’re coached by a winning team that provides training, support and recognition to help you set and achieve your goals!

You may be thinking “oh that won’t work”, but a better question might be “What if it does?”

Today I had the privilege of meeting Karen…an amazing woman.  I don’t know a lot about her background, but in less than a couple of hours I felt her soul and her heart.  To some you might think she has a disability, but not to me.  Karen lost her ability to hear when she was 20, but her verbal skills are excellent.  If you speak to her directly, she will read your lips and continue the conversation as if she heard every word.

There were 8 women that attended the coaching session this afternoon, so you can imagine all the chattering going on in the room.  Lucky for me, I was paired up with Karen for a training exercise.  We completed the task and then everyone was asked to share their “Why”.  This process took about an hour, Karen sat attentively not saying a word…and then it was her turn.  I asked her to share what we had talked about.  Her “why” was so compelling and I knew it would not only help her move forward, but it would benefit the others, as well.

Can you imagine trying to read eight women’s lips all going at the same time?  It’s impossible, so consider what Karen must have been feeling or thinking through that hour of her silence.  She declined at first to share her why, but when I explained to her that it would help others, she finally agreed.

You know the saying “saving the best for last”…well as Karen began to share I knew her words would speak volumes and they did.  She began by saying, “I believe that all women should have choices and the right to make their own decisions.”  As she continued with her heartfelt story…everyone there was touched…especially me.

What are you looking for in your life right now?  More fun?  More time?  More friends?  More freedom?   When you know and believe in your Why, your passion and commitment will always shine through!

When you’re considering your Why, remember my friend Karen…it’s not what you hear, it’s what you feel!

I’m writing my first blog, but I’m in a fog!  What could I possibly write that would be interesting enough for someone to read?

After giving it some thought, well actually a whole lot of thought, I decided to write about passion.  What is passion anyway? As defined by Webster’s it’s a strong or extravagant fondness, enthusiasm, or desire for anything.   Don’t you love the sound of extravagant fondness and enthusiasm?  It sounds like something you can order from a catalogue, but we all know it’s something that comes from the inside.   It can’t be taught, borrowed or given to you.

Passion is something you feel when you know you’re doing the right thing.  Passion is being excited and enthusiastic about what you’re doing…and yes, it’s also something you share with someone else, but that’s not what this blog is about!

When you’re passionate about what you’re doing…time fades!  There is nothing more gratifying or fulfilling than to do what you love…and it doesn’t matter what…life is much too short, to not live with passion!

So get out of the fog…if you’re doing what you love, everything else takes care of itself!
